Minutes
04.02.05 (7:02 am) [edit]
Watching television, I saw a commercial for T-Mobile. In the commercial, a family is talking to each other in an auctioneer style in order to save money on their bills because their minutes were limited. The commercial then goes on to say that T-Mobile’s got some sort of good plan for minutes for families.
Anyhow, that commercial got me thinking. It would be nice if people, in general, only got a certain number of minutes to talk each month. Think about it, if it costs extra to talk – then people may just tell you important stuff. Say goodbye to phone calls and conversations like this:
Friend 1: “Hello?” Friend 2: “Yo, What’s up?” Friend 1: “Uh.. nothing…” Friend 2: “Yeah, same here.” Friend 1: “Yeah, so what’s up?” Friend 2: “Yeah, nothing.” Friend 1: “Right.”
Friend 1: “You need something?” Friend 2: “Nah, just calling to say hi.” Friend 1: “Hi.” Friend 2: “Hi.”
Yeah, that would be nice. Meaningful, purposeful conversations instead of inane chit-chat about the weather.

So, there's excessive wind noise now. That's just great. They're coming back on Monday, and hopefully it'll be sealed correctly this time.

Windshield
03.30.05 (8:56 am) [edit]
Thursday, I discovered a crack in my windshield. Due to its length, the windshield needs to be replaced. Today is supposed to be the day it is finally replaced. Let's see how this goes.
*** Update *** It's finally fixed. It only took 5 days, but it's fixed!

People don't buy big houses on large plots of land just because they are greedy. They buy these things because it's cheaper than paying people to leave them alone.

You know, for a while now, I have thought everyone knows what I know. After all, I'm not that bright to begin with. Turns out I seem to know things that other people don't. How odd.
It would be easier if everyone knew what I know.

I'm starting to think that all these "Windows XP Security Fixes" just sabotage other programs. Why does Firefox require so much system resources? Why does iTunes take so long to load? Conspiracy.
